COF JOURNAL / DECISION GUIDE

Broker withdrawals: documents to read before depositing

Read withdrawal rules, identity requirements and the complaints process before depositing. A practical documentation checklist.

Deposits and withdrawals are separate

A simple deposit interface tells you little about withdrawal terms. Read accepted payment methods, identity checks, possible charges and complaint procedures. Check the agreement’s treatment of open positions as well. One testimonial does not establish how the service works for everyone.

Keep a traceable request

Retain the documents you accepted, the request receipt and the provider’s responses. Record the requested amount, currency and status without treating them as money received. A processed interface status does not necessarily mean a bank credit. Submit identity documents only through the provider’s official secure channel.

Resolve contradictory answers

Ask for a written explanation referencing the relevant clause. If support does not resolve the issue, follow the complaint procedure and identify the competent route for the contractual entity. Reject intermediaries asking for another payment to supposedly unlock a withdrawal. COF cannot authorise or guarantee a broker withdrawal.

Check the process against its documents

The beneficiary name, deposit method and withdrawal method can be subject to checks. Before depositing, identify required documents, method restrictions, fees and the complaints procedure in the terms. Reading those terms is not a withdrawal test.

A “received quickly” testimonial without an entity, date, method and supporting record cannot establish a comparison between processes. Conversely, an additional document request does not, by itself, characterise the service. Keeping the steps and responses separates missing information from a documented event.

If a rule is ambiguous

Ask a precise support question: which contractual document defines the rule, which entity handles the request and what process allows a response to be challenged? Keep the answer alongside the terms used. A sales conversation does not replace the agreement.

Your verification grid

ItemDocument or check to request
IdentityRead accepted evidence and use only the provider's secure submission channel.
DestinationIdentify return-to-payment-method and account-in-your-name rules.
TimingSeparate internal processing from bank transit and ask when each period starts.
ChargesCheck minimums, currency, conversion and payment-provider charges.
DisputeRetain the request reference, replies and documented complaints procedure.

Practical questions

Does a request confirmation prove a received withdrawal?

No. It documents one request stage. Processing, funds leaving and funds arriving are separate events. Name the event actually evidenced without inferring the subsequent stages.

Must I deposit to check a withdrawal policy?

Terms, document requirements and the complaints process can be read before any deposit. A documentary guide does not establish an executed withdrawal or justify committing money to create a testimonial.
